Pain under breast

Hi all,

I am currently waiting to see a neurologist in December. I was referred by my GP as he suspects some symptoms I’ve been experiencing could be MS (I had some great help on this forum a few weeks’ ago when this happened).

Ive been trying my best not to focus on the appointment too much, as I don’t want to be continually worried for weeks and weeks! However, I have been experiencing this very peculiar pain for a few weeks on and off. It is under the side of my right breast, near the rib. It feels sore and tight - like my bra is too tight on that side, except it continues even my bra is off. It isn’t excruciating but annoying and uncomfortable.

I just want to know if this is a symptom to discuss with the neurologist. My other symptoms are more obviously neurological (numbness, tingling, blurred vision etc), this just seems odd. I don’t want to sound silly, but would like to bring it up simply as it just isn’t going away ( and because it seems like all sorts of symptoms occur with MS). What do you think?

Thanks!

i suffer with costoconditis. it is inflammation around breast bone and ribs as muscles/ligaments here can be inflamed just as with your ankle etc. so doctor explained to me. i wear vests with inserts as bras were just too painful.

tell the neurologist about ALL your symptoms.

good luck

I get this, could this not be the ms hug? Good luck x
