Out of the mouths of teens

When my 13 year old got home from school yesterday I proudly told him that I’d been to my first mindfulness group session in the morning and joined the gym and done a 30 minute circuit session in the afternoon. He replied “so you’ve got over your mid-life crisis then?” When I replied that I’m not having a mid-life crisis I’ve got ms he shrugged and said “yeah yeah, same thing!” So now we know! And there’s me thinking I had a chronic, debilitating neurological condition

Haha Val! I’ve got more of this to come I’m sure. When I’m having a wobbly day I usually get a ‘c’mere’ and an eye roll as oldest takes my arm!

Kids are a blessing x

This mid life crisis…I`m 61 now, so should I be better?

Oh if only!

61 means I have got another three years until I reach Mid life and there was me thinking I was still 16. Time flys my son responded to an urgent phone call from the wife to come and pick me up off the floor last week he was so gentle and got me up and then upstairs to bed, it seemed only five minutes ago I was doing the same for him but he is 24 next birthday. I love kids but only thinly sliced and on wholemeal bread.

love it. When anyone asks if my dogs like children I always say “yes but they can’t eat a whole one”.

My kids are adults now but seems like yesterday we were sticking their “art work” up on the walls and coming home with leaning towers of junk modelling. Why was it my kids always produced the biggest bits of junk modelling and because I did not drive I would have to get on the bus with two kids and 2 lots of junk. happy days. I count my lucky stars that they both went through their teenage years without any trouble.

Well ‘mid life crisis’ son is staying at a friends tonight and the older one has just rolled in froma party with 4 friends. They tend to sleep in the living room and take over downstairs so I’ll be stuck in bed tomorrow till they get up and decide to leave. That’s usually around midday. What a shame!
