Ocrelizumab - Latest

Whew, that was a day and a half. Started at 7am, went for Ocrevus infusion, and all the usual things happened… lack of decent vein to insert cannula, and again the back of my hand was the preferred option. Infusion itself was slightly speedier than normal (as it’s not my first infusion, they know I wasn’t likely to suffer any bad reactions, and could go straight in at a higher speed). This one was due in April, but had to be put off in order not to clash with the Covid jab. And as usual the medical staff were on the ball. All in all, it all went uneventfully. But I am well and truly knackered now!

So really, what I’m saying is that Ocrevus may sound a bit scary, but if you get offered it, it would be daft to turn it down! Two infusions per year beats injections every other day.
