Hi Everyone,
I’m new to the forum but I was diagnosed with MS way back in 1984.
I have had a few relapses over the years, and I’m currently having another.
I would like to ask the following if I May:
I was originally diagnosed in South Africa in 1984 and this diagnosis was again confirmed in 2006, also in South Africa.
I have moved to the UK in 2015, and have been quite stable until now.
My problem is that i have never before sought help with this in the UK, and I’m wondering if I could speak to an MS nurse in the Rochdale area to get some direction as to how to access help.
Any ideas on how to do this? All help is very welcome.
Thank you all!
A.
Not sure I can help but I did a web search and came up with https://www.mssociety.org.uk/care-and-support/local-support/local-groups/rochdale-district-group
I hope a local contact can help
Good luck
Mick

It is always an unpleasant surprise when MS rears its ugly head again. I guess your GP is the first port of call to play yourself into the hospital specialist system again and take it from there. I hope that you get the help you need and start to recover soon.

Hi Alison
Thank you for your reply. I’ll call my surgery on Monday and hopefully they can see me soon.
Thanks so much!
