Hello. I’m Paul, I’ve got secondary progressive MS diagnosed in 2007. My RRMS was diagnosed in 1999 though I’ve probably had MS since puberty. I use a wheelchair and can’t walk much at all though I can do all my transfers unassisted. I live on my own as my wife is in the process of divorcing me, which obviously makes me very sad. It’s been a year since we split up. I used to run a website called “All About Multiple Sclerosis” 20 years ago but it got too much for me. Anyway, that’s me.
Hello Paul. That’s a sad story. Hope you’re holding up well
Hi there Paul, welcome to the forums.
Sorry to hear you’re having a bit of a time of it, I’m getting to the end of my divorce at the moment. My ex left me three years ago and we’ve been divorced for over a year but we’re still in court trying to sort out the financial side.
Sometimes life just sucks doesn’t it!
Hi Paul, I was diagnosed some 18 years ago with RRMS and although I haven’t been told I have Secondary Progressive my symptoms are getting worse without new lesions.
Really sorry to hear about the divorce ( been there but way before MS ). Hope the divorce goes well and smoothly for you. Try to stay ‘cool’ and stress free about it if you can.
Do you have a mobility scooter - I find that a scooter is very useful even if only to get to the park for fresh air and sun ( maybe not in this weather🥹).
Blimey, that’s sad. I hope it was and still is as amicable as can be. My divorce ( years before MS) wasn’t my choice but the whole process was , in the circumstances, fairly ‘friendly’.
I think it’s about as far from amicable as it’s possible to be! These things are sent to challeng us
Well my deepest sympathies and best wishes to you.
Break ups are never fun. Far too many heightened emotions involved.
The best end of a relationship I’ve ever had was when after 5 years both of us just began to lose interest and it petered out.
