Today I had a new symptom, I had been walking for about 5 mins, then my shin started to burn, I mean really burn, it felt like someone was pouring boiling water down the front of my leg.
I have never felt ths before, has anyone else?

Burning is a common one I’m afraid
If it becomes a problem, a neuropathic painkiller can help (e.g. amitriptyline, gabapentin, pregabalin).

Thanks Rizzo, you are such a help.
I am on amitriptyline at night, do people take it during the day too? Wont it make you terribly sleepy?
Some people take it during the day, but I couldn’t have - I’d have been a zombie! You might need a tweak if your dose or maybe a switch to something less soporific so you can take it in the morning too. Best to speak to your GP. Kx
Im now on gebapentin for this. My thighs are on fire constantly. The amytriptyline and pregabilin did not work for me
Many thanks for your replys, exactly the same thing happened today, when I had been walking for about 5 mins.
I will ask the GP about other meds, but wont get an appointment till the week of my neuro appointment.
Perhaps I would be as well to wait till after the neuro.
I am actually more scared of them saying they cant find anything than them actually finding something, I can deal pretty well with what life throws at me, but having nothing to hang my hat on is a scary place to be.
