New Site

Good afternoon everyone, I have read with interest the views on the new site layout etc, most of the repliers are against it, the thought comes to mind, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, this applies to all, young and old it seems, if you don’t move forward, you will stagnate, like everything new, it will take time to get used to, some may use the new site as an excuse to move on, the site will improve only by the volume of posts, the interest/content of posts, and the number of posters on here, the old site was tired/jaded, the same questions etc, together and along with this site we will be stronger, let us go from strength to strength, united we stand, divided we fall, Brian

Hi Brian, good…a name from the old boards! I get what you mean about old dogs and having to go with the new, but i and many others are not that quick (mentally as well as physically) anymore. I did have my own struggles and left…but soon came back after so many folk asked me to. I still struggle getting it right, but I am persevering. Many of us suffer with cognitive problems and thats why some have left, I guess. But Im here, youre here and so are many other old hands`. luv Pollx

Well said that Brian - KBO kiddo! (Keep B*ggering On is my motto - mottos are cool  ) Clarexxx

I prefer this site as I find it easier to follow a topic. No more openeing of 10 or 15 posts, all running off at tangents, to find the latest post. BUT they need to fix all the gremlins… they have been mentioned very often by many posters. OR at least keep us informed as to progress. Any updates ‘New Media team’ :?:  V

Hi all The version of the forum that incorporates the feedback we have been getting is still being worked on. As we’ve said elsewhere this isn’t the final version, we are listening to your comments and we will do as much as we can to improve the experience for you but we clearly won’t be able to give everyone everything that they want. We will update you on proposed rollouts once a) we’ve tested it thoroughly here and b) we’ve tested it with a group of regular users. In the meantime I’d like to ask you to bear with us for a little while longer. In and amongst the understandable criticism of the platform you’re working with you’re still giving each other some great support and we’re picking up more and more members as a result. Greg [admin]

Thank You for the update Greg V

Bear-ing with you Greg

See what you’ve done there Claire!

good day Pollx, glad to read/see many old hands, it’s true that folk have problems but hopefully all will be better (site & people) in the future, we can but hope, Brian

Greeting everybody, I thought the new site was terrible. It was hard to get in (I,m talking days)and i thought it looked to clinical. But you know guys, We had no choice because the old site was imploding on it self. The I.T. people cant please us all.! I have cognitive problems but i,m now starting to navigate around the site ok. So come on you lovely people lets give them our full support. I would think they are getting realy hissed off with all the complaints! Mark2 comes out soon.
