Neurologists appt

I had my first annual neurologists appointment this morning

Its hard to imagine its a year since I was diagnosed and all thats happened in that time. I have had a baby come to terms as much as anyone does with my less than perfect life and am trying to cope and get on.

From my scans he thinks my MS has a progressive element which I had already figured out I dont seem to recover from relapses very well but he doesnt want to label me at the moment.

I have tried to stear clear of drug therapy but have stopped breast feeding and we have decided that at the moment another baby would be too much to cope with so I am happy to give it a go. He is suggesting Tysabri if I am willing to give it a go and he can get funding. In the meantime he will suggest a couple of options to my gp to help with the spasms I get in my leg and the issues I have with my bladder.

So I feel pretty positive

Hi Ellie, having a young baby and MS sounds just knackering to me! Most mums have a spot of bladder trouble after childbirth, but yes, it is all too common in MS too.

Good to read you are feeling positive.

Good luck with any meds you try.
