Hi, I was diagnosed with MS over three weeks ago and I am still awaiting a call from my hospital or letter etc for me my neurologist appointment.
How long does this take with the NHS normally? I’m just impatient lol.
I’m worried I will get worse without any treatment or anything etc.
I have changed my diet and been walking regularly to keep me active.
But if I walk too far my back starts aching. I do have a stick to aid me.

Hello Billie,
I think you’re doing all the right things to do already, with the healthy nutrition and keeping active.
Try not to worry too much about the treatment for multiple sclerosis, you’re already on the system, so it should come in due course.
I’m already on my third different treatment, over the last 24 years, I didn’t even start on the first until 9 years after initial diagnosis.
My back and hips give me jip everyday now, I have nordic poles, a rollator-walker and a wheelchair (if I’m not able to use my pins for any reason), physiotherapy can help a lot with mobility, so it’s worth getting in touch with your MS team.
