Hi, I wake up with headache, I’m sure it comes from my neck. Where are have arthritis and it is tense. I also suffer from severe shooting pains in the side of head. Does anyone take Amitriptyline for this ? Does it work, if not what works for you ? Thanks
Have you tried getting rid of your pillows and just sleeping flat on your back? I can’t do that intentionally, but when I wake up that way I feel better than usual.
I had a memory foam pillow which had a curved edge which was fantastic for my neck.
I threw it away after something was spilled on it.
Think I need to buy aother.
Just ordered one of those memory foam pillows.
Just under £20.

I get sharp stabbing head pains and have taken Amitriptyline when it was really bad affecting me every day in a relapse also affecting my speech and the whole of my right side with spasms - 10 mins later I was fine until the next pain. As the pains come with no side effects currently I’m choosing not to take medication for them. Sharon
