My little box.

Hello, everyone.

Thanks to the advice from people on the forum and Wealden adult social care, I am sleeping a little more easily.

This is ridiculous. My heating has just come on. Wil the summer please make up its mind.

best wishes, Steve.

Good move Steve, getting a care line installed, giving you and your family and friends reassurance that if help is needed, it will be there for you.

I really enjoy your blogs, you are gifted with words, so thank you.

We have a charitable trust set up in our village that will fund ‘care-lines’ and stairlifts etc. My elderly mum 93 has a careline which she wears around her neck. l have been contacted by the paramedics saying they had gone to her as she had fallen on to the floor. This was at 4am - they had her back in bed by the time l had managed to get round there - on my scooter. Mum was clearly enjoying the attention from the two young men. Another time - she had pressed the button by accident - and the Care-line operator rang me to say that they had tried talking to mum - but she had the radio on very loud and was obviously singing along with the Rolling Stones, so they knew she was OK. They said it had made their day. There was l thinking my mum listened to Classic FM.
