Muscle trouble!

Hi everyone and hope you’re all blessed with a nice Sunday.

i would appreciate some advice or comment on my latest symptoms as I’m worried it may be something other than ms. My ms nurse says its ms but told me to increase my pregabalin to 75 and has made me an appointment to see my neurologist anyway. I’m rrms still I think but have never had big defined relapses that stopped me functioning so no dmds. I take 75 pregabalin twice a day and when my fatigue is really bad I take 100 modafinil twice a day. I also have 2mg diazepam when I get really bad pain from muscle spams ie hug. (Not often).

A few weeks ago I started having much worse muscle fatigue and aches rather than pains everywhere , I normally am just stiff and achy with crampy feet on waking in a morning which can take a while to wear off with moving around. My fatigue also became severe at the same time. The modafinil helps a lot and the morning problems wear off during the day and return in the evening. I wake a few times during the night and now my fingers are stiff also but ease as soon as I bend them? Chronic anxiety and fatigue are my only ongoing symptoms, usually intermittent sensory symptoms like neuralgia are fleeting and I have no motor damage. It feels like I’ve got flu and all the muscles from my neck down are in various levels of spasm or stiffness morning and night. It’s like a combination ms fatigue and muscle fatigue but all over. It doesn’t feel like my normal ms if that makes sense.

Would be much appreciated if anyone has the time to read this , haven’t been on here for ages but always felt like I got much more information and advice here than anywhere else. X

Well, it could be a relapse. If you’ve got spasms and stiffness in unusual places, that would be the first thing I’d think of. Have you got an MS nurse? If so, maybe get an appointment with him/her and she what they think.

Or it could be an infection of some kind. Perhaps you could see your GP? Don’t forget, it can be something completely unassociated with MS.
