Hey Guys,
I haven’t posted in here for a while. I hope everyone is as well as can be!
I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this:
Recently my hand has started seizing up and becoming really stiff which is so painful. I can literally feel how tight the muscle becomes. I don’t know if this would be considered a spasm or if it is even an ms symptom, but it literally takes my breath away.
It will normally last about 10 minutes then the pain will ease and my hand starts to relax again.
I haven’t mentioned it to my neuro yet as I just want to see how it goes.
Has anybody else experienced this?
Hi Dukes
Mine is a bit different in that my right hand started clawing, with stiffness and the noticeable tightness you mention, about 18 months ago. I don’t seem to get the neuralgia type pain as I do in the legs and feet, but lately there is possible arthritic pain in the hand and wrist, and aching in the biceps area - (that could be due to constantly leaning on the hard power chair arm rest though!). It’s one of the few things I’m thankful of re my ppms, that it hasn’t gone the same way as the legs … and given up the ghost altogether! My dishwasher broke, and I think that doing the dishes manually every day has helped over the last year!
I would say this could easily be an MS symptom - but, if you’re speaking from an rrms perspective , it may well be quite different to the above. chris
