MRI showed spinal lesion. Is it likely MS?

I’m waiting for a second MRI with contrast dye ‘for further assessment’ but my initial MRI showed ‘dorsal column cord lesion at C2 level’. They saw no other lesions in my spine nor any in my brain.

Obviously, my mind has fixated on MS as I have had pins and needles/altered sensation/numbness for months now. It was originally all over my body but has resolved mostly, although it hasn’t fully left my hands.

I’m wondering how likely MS is the cause considering it’s only one lesion? I know no one can diagnose me on here but just wanted to see if anyone had anything similar before diagnosis.

Not me. In my case it was optic neuritis that prompted an MRI scan which revealed ‘quite a lot of lesions’

Mine was numb left side of face and nose and balance issues, like I was drunk. Three legions on brain,CIS diagnosed. Fast forward 9 years numb foot balance issues and thinking in slow motion, multiple legions brain and spine…
