Does anyone know how long it takes to generate a report on MRI and are they likely to send me a copy before my follow up, or am i at liberty to ask them to, would be happier to go to the follow up, a bit prepared having seen the report.
Just rang hospital, Report is in, secretary is going to get registrar to explain findings and send me a letter should get it next week, can’t stand this waiting keep getting an emotional meltdown. Consultant has also received copy of last MRI I had sent him, that was taken at our local hospital about 18 months ago for comparison. What they said about that at the time was there was no significant intercrananial abnormalities, the registrar seemed to poo poo that and said they always say that, but interestingly a spinal consultant looked at the scan and said although there was stinosisis (which was later operated on) he didn’t feel that that was severe enough to be causing the problems that I was getting and felt it needed further neurological investigation, interesting that the symptoms returned about 6-8 weeks after surgery,
Getting a registrar to explain the MRI results by letter - that’s pretty good service versus the norm!
I hope it makes sense (and doesn’t take too long to arrive)
