MRI results

Hi, Just got my mri results from the drs…he thinks it isn’t MS but it did show up other problems. I have one lesion on my cervical spine and spondylitis in my neck from slipped discs. I have brain atrophy, he thinks from lack of blood flow to that area. He thinks this is consistent with Hughes syndrome and my other symptoms. Myself and daughter are booked in for the hs blood tests on Wednesday. They also found a lump in my neck which I will be seen next Friday for. My g.p said well spotted for Hughes syndrome as he wouldn’t have thought of it. I feel thankful I found my way onto this forum for all the excellent information and the support people readily give on here so a big THANKS from me

Hope everything goes well for you and your daughter.take care, Deb

That’s quite a range of problems on your MRI :frowning: Fingers crossed that the blood tests get you closer to an answer, and that the lump is an easy fix.

My g.p isn’t an MS expert so just wondering if he’s correct in thinking that unlikely to be ms coz of lack of lesions in the brain. Does anyone know if ms causes partial brain atropy without seeing lesions on mri? He also said the lesion in cervical spine is small so shouldn’t cause any problems…I’m sure I’ve read on here its not the size of lesions but where they are. I was so relieved when he said highly unlikely to be ms I didn’t ask any questions but minds a bit overactive now as quite worried avout memory loss, lack of concentration etc and do not want these symtoms to deteriorate, Thanks
