Hello while I am new to this forum, I have been my Wifes primary care provider for over 5 years now. Linda (Linnie) has had Primary Progressive MS for around 15 years with an official diagnosis 5 years ago.
We have experiences both good and bad that my wife is keen to share in an effort to help others with their MS Journey.
However, my first post is very specific. Before her MS Linnie used to do marathon distance moonwalks every year and raised over £30 000 for cancer research over the years.
Linnie is now in an electric wheelchair 90% of the time but my daughter and I are keen to surprise her with a wheelchair entry for a marathon to raise money for MS research.
We need to source a chair. It would have to be a marathon running chair as she would need to be pushed.
Does anyone have any leads where we could beg, borrow, hire or loan a chair for training and the event?
To be able to get back to sponsored fundraising would mean the world to Linnie and would be one of those MS victories that we all look for.
