For a couple of days I’ve been experiencing a pain in my chest. It was slightly on the left side as a sharp pain but has radiated out and affecting the right as well and now feels like I’m being squeezed and it seems like I have to put more effort in to breathe and a deep breath hurts. I have had chest pain before which turned out to be torn cartlidge between my ribs a couple of years ago but that only hurt as I breathed . I will be trying to book a doctors appointment in the morning but I don’t want to be dismissed as having heart burn.
Apparently the “hug” is caused by spasms in the muscles between the ribs. Muscle relaxant meds like baclofen can make a big difference.
