I’ve had an lymph node in my neck that’s been big for the last few months & I’ve been so worried about it. Finally got up the courage to get a blood test yest & was told to phone the surgery next Mon. Ended up phoning MS nurse to ask if I should continue on copaxone - she gave me the blood results and said they were pretty normal for MSers. Just want to know if it is normal for lymph nodes to be enlarged (I’m thinking cancer), my white blood cells are just below normal (which apparently could show that I’m fighting an infection or a relapse)… Just needing a bit of reassurance,
Oh, should also say that when I phoned MS nurse today it turns out I’d been lost in the system… not the nurses fault but something wrong with the system… Cxx
Hi Tay, Just read your post, I’m so sorry you had got lost in the system. Hope their error has now been amended. I’m afraid I can’t comment on your condition as I don’t know anything regarding lymph nodes. Just wanted to let you know we are thinking of you and wish you a quick answer to your questions.
Although not Dx, I wanted to add to your comments. Since I have had these neurological ( and they are definitely progressive neurological) symtoms for the last 2 1/2 years I have never had a single cold or infection. Which is a complete turn around for me as I use to get 3 or 4 colds each winter and at least one in the summer.
I have however had swollen lymph nodes on countless occasions.
One instance that keeps re occurring is that before my period I run a temperature and my lymph nodes swell (they think I am fighting an infection) they have bearly settled down when of course a month later the whole thing starts again!
Hope you feel better and get to the bottom of your lymph nodes.
