Lumbar puncture results, what does it mean?

Hi all, Those who are following will know I don’t have a diagnosis of MS, but I have been recommended to go on a DMD (plegridy) because of my lumbar puncture. My diagnosis is Clynically Isolated Syndrome. I just recieved a copy of a letter from the neurologist that was sent to my GP. Its says “CSF testing for oligoclonal bands revealed local synthesis. The rest of her CSF was normal” Any ideas what local synthesis means? I’m curious more than anything. Thanks! B
