Long term MS then shingles infection reducing mobility significantly

I have had MS for 45 years. I was lucky that I was not too badly affected. Since I turned 60 my mobility got worse and it became secodary progressive. A month after my 80th birthday I got shingles. It has really reduced my mobility and ability to do anything in the last 2 weeks. Is there anything I can do? I have not been able to get my GP to do anything to help - they are going to start tests but I am going downhill rapidly! Does anyone have any experience of treatment for shingles with MS?

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Shingles can make MS symptoms much worse. if you’re getting worse quickly, go to urgent care or the hospital.
