I really want to go to see family, but it involves a 12 hour flight. I. Can’t walk- can weight bear, but use a wheelchair full time. I’ve managed short flights, so know I can transfer to aisle chair etc, but have never been to the loo. I know I won’t be able to hang on for 12 hours though! Any advice gratefully received.
The only thing I can think of is either an in-dwelling catheter for your bladder and to ensure your bowels are emptied properly prior to your flight and to wear a good quality pad. You can’t let continence issues affect your life, speak to your continence nurse if you have one, the gp or ms nurse if you haven’t. There are solutions, hope you find a suitable one. x
