I popped out to mine for the first time yesterday at a community centre here in Swindon. They’re a nice bunch - all ages and disabilities. I had a dizzy spell near the end (which is quite new) but, I enjoyed it and, I’ve been invited along to the next one. I think I’ll make it a regular thing :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

I’m very glad jon - I went to an MS meet up closer to meet (I’ll leave the location undisclosed) and they were a little less welcoming…

there are plenty of good communities and resources, I’ve found. it’s not without support.

Sorry to hear that James. I assumed they’d all be pretty good and welcoming as everyone is all in the same knackered boat :person_shrugging:

Hi @jthatcher that’s useful to know. I’m not quite sure why but I’ve not been to my nearest one (nor any) . Perhaps because of a feeling that other than MS we would have absolutely nothing in common and nothing else to talk about. So, out of interest , what happened at your group, what do people chat about.

They chatted about all sorts mate, it flowed along quite nicely … Their symptoms, any new developments, medications, equipment, their cars, partners, family, food, pets, holidays, all sorts :+1:

I was told not to leave the biscuits and jam tarts near a chap called John because he’d scoff the lot :rofl:

Maybe try it once and, don’t go back if you don’t like it :+1:

Hank Dogs is the name of an English Folk Group ( from London I think) who sing slightly off beat/ sometimes a little weird songs.

Not many people have heard of Hank Dogs whose songs include charming lines such as:
