I remember seeing on dragons den a light socket that had a pull string on it, pulling the whole light socket down to change the bulb easy. If i find a website i will post a link.

NONE. The lightbulb will be told there is nothing wrong and it must go back to working.

Hi Anrita have you room on the upstairs landing for a lamp? if you have you can get plugs that you can swich on with a remote control, that you could leave downstairs, this would mean that you dont have to climb to change the bulb.
