Life Insurance Help

Hi guys,

I have been trying to secure life insurance to cover my mortgage / family and have found this a difficult task. I noticed that people have discussed this in the past but was wondering if anyone had the names of any good companies to talk to?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I took some out post-dx with Legal & General, as my previous policies ended when I claimed for my MS under the critical illness and I wanted new cover for my children. I did a quick search online (which assumed good health) and they were the cheapest for my age/gender etc. and I went from there. They declined critical illness completely, but I did secure life cover (with premiums increased by 50% though!). If you use an independent site like moneyfacts, that may give you a starting point. Hope that helps!

Hi Emma-C,

I did a bit more research online yesterday and ended up tracking down a brokerage called Your Life Protected who specialise in sourcing life insurance for people with medical conditions. They have gone away to speak to underwriting teams for me and i think one of them may well be Legal & General.

Thanks for the info.
