yes-u prob r thinking too much BUT understandably so. we need/want answers and so question eveything that we do/are involved with.
i think its good to ask questions and get diffferent opinions then come to ur own conclusions. i believe that no-one knows how to cope with ur ms-except u!
i have my own theory as to why i have ms-i have no idea if its true or not but its an explaination that i can live with and that alone helps me cope on a daily basis.
Like Elle said everyone has their theories; mine is three possibilities. First was a Smallpox Vaccination that I had a violent reaction to; the second was getting married, this in no way blames my ex wife, she was lovely. It was my reaction to marriage from a single Jack the lad; Del boy type existence we were only 1 year married before I started walking wobbly.
The third was ‘Henry’ the dog we owned when we got married. It was a Bassett Hound but unfortunately caught canker in his ears. Every evening there I was cleaning his ears; poor love he was gorgeous. Now I know a Dr. Lange at Brunel University was researching Distemper in dogs causing MS but what came of his research I just don’t know (it was 40 years ago) and it was my thoughts that canker and Distemper could have some link.
What you must take into consideration is whatever your theory is it must have happened before to someone else so why have they not got MS? So there must be some basic fault in our bodies. Vaccinations; marriage; dogs whatever are only catalysts that made them active within us.
There may be thousands of different catalysts but only one MS (or should I say 2; RRMS and PPMS).
