Hello Cindy.
Every time I straighten my legs there is some sort of reaction. It’s mostly spasms but sometimes it’s cramp. All I can do is anticipate that something will happen and do things gently. It helps. As for walking; I have not had spasms whilst walking but I spend very little time on my feet these days. I know there is medication for this sort of condition so it’s back to the GP or MS nurse I suppose.
Best wishes, Steve.
Thanks Steve xx
Hate the spasms, one leg is awful and the other’s ok. If it straightens fully then it won’t bend again without patience. It’s what’s caused most of my falls. Hoping to try a new spasticity drug on a trial, keeping my fingers crossed. The spasms and stiffness are hard to deal with as not even too predictable.Magnesim spray rubbed into the worst muscles does seem to help tho. I use the BetterYou stuff

Take magnesium - L Threonate. lt works well for leg spasms along with Vitd3. And the magnesium spray is very good. Also - if you are lucky enough to be able to get into a bath - put a handful of epsom salts in it.
Just been reading on the web about putting a bar of soap in your bed at night to help with restless legs syndrome. Sounds madness - but l am going to try it.
Interesting about out a bar of soap SJ, but certainly worth a try.

The ‘bar of soap’ remedy sounds so ludicrous - but as you said - certainly worth a try. l am going to put it in my bed now while l remember.
l have just googled ‘bar of soap in bed to cure restless legs’ and there it is -
l don’t believe it!!!
