Hi sorry I’ve not been on here for a while! I’ve been diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS on the 9th July! My head is all over the place at the moment! Last night well early hours of the morning I had really bad cramp and my leg today is so painful, I can hardly walk! I normally get it but no way near this bad! Is this normal? Should I be worried?? I’m sorry for asking the question and I will probably ask more silly questions in the future I’m still new all of this! On a positive though it’s my leg that is normally numb and I can’t feel anything so maybe I’m getting the sensation back!
Hi,
Diagnosis is sometimes hard to understand. This website will help answer questions. No question is silly, we all have questions to ask.
I know for night cramps some people take magnesium tablets or rub magnesium cream or spray into the effected area.
You can get it from your local pharmacy. Worth a try.

Hi will definitely look for that! I’ve had a few but not where it’s been really bad that I’m struggling to walk and the pain so bad and I had to wake up the husband!
I feel like the questions I ask have probably been asked already!
Thank you for the advice!
If you buy really cheap Epsom bath salts & put 250g in a nice hot bath & soak for 30 mind the magnesium will be absorbed thru your skin its much more bioavailable that way & pleasant.
If you don’t have a bath the same can be achieved by soaking your feet for awhile.both these have the benefit of feeling good too.
I gloften get horrendous night cramps, haven’t had any for awhile now but when I did I was almost screaming from them they were so bad. The magnesium helped a lot.
its normal. charlie horses. but also have your bloods checked for low magnesium ok.
It can be awful pain and then you get stiffness after i try to walk it off if i can, i rub the leg when it happens which seems to help too. its ouchy.

I’ve had them before but never where I scream out in pain! Normally I can walk it off but nothing worked for ages! I’ve never had it that bad before in my life! Will definitely try the bath ideas thank you! I found that putting heat on it did help a little too! Took the edge off anyway!
