I am suffering with optic neuritis in my left eye since June and have had an MRI that shows possible MS lesions so I am waiting further tests. Since I have developed altered sensations in my left arm and leg. My question is - are symptoms usually only one sided ?

i don’t think it attacks one side. At start of my MS it mainly affected my left side, thought i was having a form of stroke. When i had optic neauritis, it was seeing through a net curtain, then every couple of days another layer was applied. My eye is about 98% back. A thing that helped me was gatting an eye patch for that eye, it helped i think. Gave that eye a little rest. i also put a cotton wool ball under the eye patch, so you keep that eye closed.
For your question, it’s affecting me both sides, abit more to my left but right is also being affected.
