Hi, hope everyone’s doing OK. I’m having a problem with knee hyperextension at the moment and can’t seem to fix it as I’ve done in the past. I’m seeing my neuro physio and have exercises to do but wondered if anyone had any other tips? My physio wants me to use a heel lift but that makes my FES work a lot less efficiently. Any ideas gratefully received!
I had this problem a few years ago and was totally resolved by wearing a fixed Swedish Knee Cage, which is perfectly comfortable to use. It took a year, or so, to fix, but once ligaments are stretched they do not recover, so well worth it. Your physio should be aware of them.
Incidentally, I use an fes and it didn’t interfere with that at all.
That looks interesting, thank you! I’ve been using the FES for 12 years and don’t want to stop so having a leg functioning as well as it can is really important.
