Keppra, aka Levetiracetam anyone?

Hi, I have just been put on Keppra by neuro following developing epilepsy due to a temporal lobe lesion. It is meant to prevent further seizures, but is also thought to help with sensory symptoms. neuropathic pain and tremor, all of which I am lucky enough to have! It’s new to me, so just wondered if anyone else had come across it, and what was your experience of it? Many Thanks, Gilly xxx (Previously known as wonky eyes)

Hi, I have no experience myself of this drug but I met a lady with epilepsy who was on it and said how good it was. She’d tried gabapentin and another drug that I can’t remember and said keppra was the best. Hope it works well for you too. Lynn x

Hi Gilly, I take Keppra and have found it hem absolutely brilliant . I suffered with myoclonic jerks that stopped me from sleeping, I would have one be every two or three minutes, not any mores. I still get them from time to time but now I just laugh at other peoples reaction if they notice. Good luck, I hope they work for you. Janet x
