IV Steroids

Hi,

I was wondering how people felt after having IV steroids treatment; did you feel an immediate benefit? If not, how long did it take before you improved?

Last year I had 1 day of IV treatment, and then had to finish it off with 4 days of tablet steroids; I felt awful afterwards and this horrible feeling lasted for ages, so I wasn’t able to return to work as quickly as I’d hoped. I’m thinking that if I only have IV steroid treatment that I will feel better immediately and be able to return to work asap. Am I correct?

If you mean will the side effects have gone, then possibly. If you mean will the relapse have gone, then no, sorry. Steroids only speed up time to remission, they don’t stop the relapse dead, more’s the pity :frowning:
