Hi Laurac42, I too have SPMS and have had this itchy scalp, face and body for years and it drives me nuts too. I really try not to itch it, so put cool pads on to relieve it, they do for that moment in time. I will watch this post to see what others may advice.

Hi
I have RRMS and I have had a very bad all over itchy day back in Summer. I could not understand it but I started to take antihistamine regularly which helped and the itchiness has subsided within the day but then everyone is experiencing MS symptoms differently.
When I was speaking to my MS Nurse at my last appointment in September, she has asked me if it happened on a hot day as it could have been a reason.
It’s getting colder outside a people are switching their heating on. Have you noticed when the itchiness started? Have you been setting too close to heating as they can get very hot till the room reaches the set temperature, do you feel that your room, house is warmer now then before or on contrary, as some of us respond badly to cold, is your environment colder? - That’s what I would be exploring if it happens to me again at the first instance and taking antihistamine but you have nothing to lose by contacting your MS Nurse or GP.
(I have taken two antihistamine tablets on the first day, one about mid-day as I was going nuts and then one before bedtime so I can sleep followed by taking one tablet in the evening for about 2 weeks - I have suffered from allergies, hives and angioedema in the past so I felt safe while taking the tablets as described above, but please check with health professional as the tablets can make you drowsy and can have impact on some other meds you might be taking or any other medical conditions)
I hope you will get to the bottom of it and get help from some health professional.
