Hi I’m 46 and the exactly same thing happened to me 5 months ago, rushed in hospital ,double vision, right side numb…etc… After emergency MRI found lesions on the brain. Now here I am 5 mths later Had spine MRI, evok test and lumber puncture and 3 different neuro appointments just awaiting to see ms specialist for DX suspected RRMS. It’s a long process but on the plus side I’m almost back to how I was originally. Forgot to say was prescribed 5 day course of steroids 6 weeks into the flare which really helped. Hope you get some answers soon Gray

thanks for the reply i’m waiting for neuro appointment as we speak did your double vision last long as well with your numbness

I got admitted to hospital because of my double vision but i had been suffering with sickness a few weeks prior. My double vision lasted about a week to 2 weeksI probably made it worse as i was wearing a patch as my vision was so bad and i couldnt see to get around without it. It seemed to settle after a week and sorted more or less in two weeks apart from my peripheral vision which was clouded but that settled after a few months. I would probably wait to see what your neurologist says about your leisons as they could be very small and can be in different parts of your brain. It is very scary when you dont know what it is but hopefully your neurologists will be able to make sense of things for you. Good luck with your appt

Hi numbness lasted 4 weeks and double vision lasted 12 weeks, although I have a bit still if I look far left, Good luck

I got admitted to hospital with stroke like symptoms recently too (left side numbness and tingling). They ruled out a stroke but found brain lesions. They gave me IV steroids which made no difference. I had the evoked potentials tests and I know I failed one of them but I am waiting for the outpatients neurology appointment for the bad news of exactly what this means for me. I am at home now and my symptoms are not getting any better. I hope your neurologist appointment can answer your questions. The scary part is being left at home in the meantime in limbo, in pain and waiting.
