Hi all,
I have just had to come home from work as hubby said he could not move his legs today. I thought he may have a urine infection but he does not. However he started with a cold this morning and his temp was 38.3C I have given him paracetamol and it is gradually coming down but he is very lethargic.
I spoke to the GP and she said a temp and cold with someone with MS can have this affect.
Has anyone else had this happen because of a cold?
Thanks
Caz
Hi Caz.
Most people that have MS get worse when they have an infection.[not all]
So i would say keep an eye on it and play it by ear.
Hope he gets well soon.
Take Care.
Chris.
Thanks Chris,
He has not got out of bed all day and very worried.
Does a cold usually give this reaction I understand an infection Sorry just panicking a bit here.
Temp nolonger high but he is just zonked out.
Caz
Just took his temp again 38.4 that is very high…Paracetamol taken at 4.30pm and fan on him now…
Hi Caz,
I can only tell you what it is like for me any infection and my MS flares up,when the infection goes i start to pick up.
If he is still like this tommorow,i would get the doctor out just to be sure,or an MS nurse if you have one.
Keep trying to get his temp down, a cold face cloth helps me.
Hope yous get some peace soon.
Take Care.
Chris.
Hi, I feel bad too if I have a temperature, and I really struggle until temp goes down. I can be unwell without a temp and I am just like normal and that is ok but yes I am done for with a temp. Hoe your hubby feels better soon. Cheryl:)
