Wow this heat wave has knocked me for six !! But the strange thing is I was in Florida last month for 2 weeks, doing a lot of walking in the sun it was usually about 90 degrees and I felt fine. In fact never felt better ! I have heard that “Foreign” heat is somehow different in affecting MS, but this seems to be true !
So my tip is, if you want to relieve your MS Symptoms emigrate out to Florida . You will love it !!

i’ve been sat outside for 90 minutes today (a record for me).
usually i wilt like the little flower that i am.
it isn’t humid today and that is what wipes me out.
at least it isn’t as depressing as that constant rain.

Unfortunately I am stuck in an office with fan on full blast , just counting the minutes until a nice drink on my decking !

I agree the heat abroad isn’t half so bad for us as this heat. Like Carole says it’s the humidity that does me in. It’s still humid here in Bristol.
Trouble is Ant I hate flying so would be all for it if those of us who don’t like flying could go by coach. Any takers?

Hi guys, I’m really struggling too with the heat - I always dread the summer coming in a way
I get major hot flushes, not sure if it is just because of my MS in general or because of my meds (Rebif). Are any of you on any meds? Hope you don’t mind me asking. I’m thinking of changing to Teriflunomide but the hair loss side effect worries me!!
Anyway really I just wanted to say that I feel your ‘pain’ x

Its strange isn’t it !! I packed a load of cooling spray and wrist wraps, and did’nt use them once ! I tell you what though I’ll stick with the plane route though if thats OK . You could always get drugged up like they used to do to Mr T on the A-team !! Just a thought.
If Mr T can do it then so can I. OK. sorted.

yes, it’s the heat that is all-knac***ing.
I can tolerate heat if the evenings and nights are cool but a humid night is a sleepless one.
Hi Katie . I am on Tecfidera and get the occasional hot flush . Basically turn in to Mr Tomato Head !!!
I am on the decking with a nice cool beer . All is good in the world again !!
And I’ve got cold hands. Still.
Anyway, this is summer, all 2 days of it. By the end of the week it’s back to winter.
