Hi

Hello, I’m new to this site, only joined today. I don’t really know what to do. About 4 years ago I lost feeling in my left hand side of my body, I was off work for 3 months whilst the doctors done MRI scans and lumber puncture and finally steroids pumped into me, which seems to work ok, they just put it down to having to much fluid on my spinal cord. Well 27th of March it happened again this time down my right hand side, still have no feeling and need crutches to help me get around, I have shakes in my hand that even one person told me that It was because I was a drunk, I very rarely drink. I have had another MRI scan and more steroids pumped into but still no feeling yet. I’m starting to feel very low and was just hoping to chat to people that understand how I’m feeling. Thank you

Hi Click Happy and welcome to the forum. Its a good place for help and advice from people in the same situation as yourself or just a good place for a good old rant.

Sorry to hear your feeling low, it happens to most people but does pass. Im sure the steroids will do the trick and hope for a more positive result for you soon.

Hi Chick Happy, welcome to the slight nutty but nearly always informative forum.

I’m sure someone here will find they have had similar symptoms, we have quite a few still in limboland and quite a few newly diagnosed. Don’t lose hope is my best advice, we all get depressed and frustrated sometimes about our problems so we do understand.

Take care of yourself

Hi Click Happy

Welcome to the site

I hope you are feeling better soon both physically and mentally. Stay strong and let the doctors do their head scratching and barrage of tests. I’m sure they’ll get to the right result in the end. These things seem to take forever and they sometimes forget that you are a person and not just an interesting medical case!
