Hi Very new and need advice

I have just seen my doctor today - because of my various symptoms i am sure i have not been able to talk to her about MS yet

I was concerned with fatigue dizziness and low heart rate so i am scheduled ECG day after tomorrow

I will see my doctor in 2 weeks and i will phone a gp in the morning because i am sure that even my regular doctor’s appt ( have health anxiety, schizophrenia, Asperger’s etc.) would not be soon enough to be able to stop the fears

I have had vision problems when i turn my head everything goes juddery in stages with my eyes, as well as back and forth movements with eyes side to side or up down

I have become pretty easy to fall asleep suddenly either every night when i’m not up late or in the day - just sleeping suddenly wherever

I have had jerks of my boday

I have had loss of control of my fingers and once of my whole body i just could barely walk - other times when this is not so bad i just stumble, almost fall, or lose balane

i’ve had severe vertigo

i don’t know where to start and stop with listing symptoms here

but i just need to feel ok about phoning someone who is not my regular gp

i realize no one can help much without me having a diagnosis

but what helped you in the pre diagnosis stage?

There are a bunch of other things but I don’t have a list all in one place yet My right foot, half of it feels warm and wet Yes both feet a bit tingly but that’s only now that I’m worried about it My memory has been appalling Like not realising I had to get up this’ll riming when I knew when I went to bed that I had to be up early My planning is worse than ever

Hello Greentigress

I wouldn’t worry about possibilities of MS, but definitely bring it up with your GP if you’re concerned. which you obviously are. I suppose the tingly feelings you get could link to MS as a “normal” syptom, but that is probably a very normal symptom of many other things too, and the other things you mentioned are not overly typical of MS. Hope things go well for you.

Sam

Hello and welcome

A low heart rate can cause all sorts of problems including dizziness, fatigue and sensory symptoms so it may well be that it is your heart rate that is the culprit and this ECG will be the start of you getting everything sorted out.

Even if it were MS, it is not an emergency so there is no need to be fearful of the immediate future. People with MS live a relatively normal lifespan and, although life can be difficult at times, the vast majority of people live really quite normal, happy lives.

I’m afraid a life complicated by lots of different medical conditions means seeing a lot of different medics. I appreciate that this is difficult for some of us, but there is little that can be done to avoid it. All we can do is be honest with the medics we see, explain why we find new people difficult and then hope that they treat us sympathetically. It gets easier with practice.

I hope they work out what’s wrong very soon and that it’s a simple fix.
