Hi I am just wondering how long does ldn take to work as I seen in one place it should take up to about 2 weeks and else where I seen anything up to 3 months I have been taking ldn now for 3 weeks and feel no benefits from it if anything I feel worse would love some advise please Take care X x x
Some people claim that it can take a year before noticing any benefit, so three weeks really isn’t very long. You don’t mention what dose you are taking, but it might be worth reducing the amount and see if you feel better.
Ooooh dear, sorry to read you have found no benefit from LDN.
I’ve just done my first Thread about LDN asking if anyone has any insight/advice about it because the reports I’ve read about LDN seem really positive & in a lot of cases actually take all symptoms of MS away! So I hope you eventually begin to feel the benefits to that extent.
Have you stopped other MS meds? Maybe worth ringing your MS nurse for advice on reducing/increasing LDN doseage.
Good Luck, hope you begin to feel a bit brighter soon.
yes, adjust the dose until you find the one thats right for you.
good luck

Erm I am only on 2mg I started on 0.5mg then up 0.5mg every week i feel the same as for the dose I started it on do u think its wise to contact the doc that prescribed me it
Yes I read about all the benefits and with having ppms I thought it was worth a try seen as every other medication I have been on hasnt worked I had to get it privately prescribed and my neuro or ms nurse have turned there nose up at it if you want a doctor to talk to about it go on e-med and speak to them as they are very helpful that is where I get prescribed it from and it is much cheaper than a private clinic
There is no point in rushing to increase the dose unless it has been tolerated ok. If you are feeling worse it is probably better to reduce the dose and allow yourself more time to get used to the drug. Try going back to .5ml and stick to that amount for a couple of weeks before looking to increase again.
Best not to be too impatient, as ldn can take an awful lot longer than three weeks to provide any benefit.
