Heat overload?

Hi all,

Yesterday I had a bit of a met down, which in itself isn’t unusual in this het I know, but I got hot, managed to cool down a bit then when I tried to do some housework I had a sort of mini panic attack.

I think it was connected to the heat, but I just thought I’d ask- does this sound possible? It wasn’t a full-blown panic attack as in my experience it didn’t last as long and my extremities didn’t go as tingly. But the weird thing was I wasn’t in a stressful situation but just hot!

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Is it MS related or do I just have an unconnected allergy to summer?!

Many thanks for any thoughts anyone’s got,

Roary,

No just a allergic reaction to housework , too hot for all that dust can wait till it’s cooler .

Sorry for the typos in my previous post- I think the a on my comp is having similar problems!!

And I do agree with you tiggerjones that dusting can wait (forever!!!) but I just needed to unpack a few cases as we’d been house and dog sitting for the week and they were covering the bed. I wanted a lie down but just needed to clear the bed first!!!

I’m definitely not guilty of doing unnecessary housework!

Housework will still be there tomorrow, it might be cooler as long as I’ve got clean plates to eat off and clean knickers to wear sod the lot!

If it gets any hotter, wearing no knickers and eating from plates that have just been rinsed quickly won’t be a problem for me!!

I think I had a similar thing this morning! Staying at my mums cos it’s cooler there, but she has stairs and I live in a bungalow. Went back upstairs to get clothes ready and it was really difficult because of the heat and had to have a ‘take a deep breath’ moment. Everything is so much more difficult in the heat!

it’s the heat.

housework is a waste of time, especially in hot weather.

to be honest, having gone from daily dusting to when it really needs it, i’m chuffed to find that once a week is plenty of dusting.

unless i’m having a lazy day (always).

stay cool

I’d go with heat too. I’ve just taken a week off work because it was getting too much! Have sat indoors doing nothing and I do feel okay for it. But have to go back on Tuesday, if I wasn’t on a month by month contract I’d take another week just to be sure. I’m still dizzy and generally just not all there. At least if I keel over on site they’ll know I’m not faking it. Roll on winter!!!
