Has anyone used lidocaine patches for nerve pain?

Titles says it all - my nerve pain is getting so bad; I’ve been on most of the anti-convulsants over the years but none of them really hit the spot. The worst area is my feet/lower legs - unbearable burning. It’s now so bad that after just a short time on my feet, I’ll be in agony for hours. I’m very worried I’m going to have to give up work.

I mention the patches as my mother-in-law, who sadly has awful pain due to cancer, is using lidocaine patches to help with her back pain (she has lung cancer). Would these work on my feet? I know the mechanism of nerve pain is very different, but I jsut want some relief. I just wondered if anyone had used them.

Best wishes

Sarah

Hi, I searched Lidocaine Infusion, your post was the only one showing. I am not too sure if my reply helps.

I have just attended a chronic pain clinic after being referred my my MS community nurse. I suffer from terrible neuropathic

pain and also pain for my spasticity. I am on the highest dose of pre-gablin, baclofen and tanazidine and I also use sativex.

The consultant at the chronic pain clinic has recommended lidocaine infusion.

Hi, there was a post not too long ago about Lidocaine patches. Someone replied and they have been using the patches.

Thank you so much
