Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone else had problems with their hands? I wake up with them burning, feeling double the size they are. It settles down a bit during the day but they always feel like they are burning to some degree. I have a six month old son and it’s so difficult to do what I want for him, I’m so scared just holding him. It’s got to the point I’m having difficulty cutting up my food on my plate especially tougher things like meat and gripping the cutlery. I’m also finding holding my crutches is getting very painful and difficult after about 5/10 minutes because my hands are burning/aching so much I’m having difficulty gripping them. I do have splints because I was told a few years ago my grip was only a quarter of what it should be for someone my age (26). I can’t always use them as they can make holding things more difficult, especially with a baby! It’s embarrassing though especially mealtimes when my son can grab the spoon from me no problem when I’m trying to feed him and I can’t get it back from him! I do have a wheelchair but I’m unable to use it simply due to logistics - my husband can’t push me and our baby in the pushchair. I’m scared to hold Sam on my lap incase he falls off, it just isn’t safe. I do have the use of a mobility scooter but it’s so hard getting around shops in it cause it is quite big. I’ve got a Neuro appt on Thursday. I’m so scared I’m going to get fobbed off again. I am not assuming or self diagnosing myself as having m.s as that is something for them to work out, but I just don’t feel it’s m.e. If they check me and come to the same diagnosis then fair enough. I have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia too, but the support you get for that is abysmal. I just want answers like we all do, so I know what the future holds especially more so now for my baby. Thanks, Lou
Hi, I forgot to ask if anyone has any advice or take any meds to help with these problems? I’m desperate for some help. Thanks, Lou
