I recieved my new 3 year licence from the DVLA on Thursday and have been to test drive a new automatic car which I might get through motorbility next year. It was really strange driving an automatic after having driven a manual since I was 18 but think I could get used to it and it would be so much simpler to drive.
The car itself was really nice and could be made to look like the A-Team truk including swivle out chair
Well done on getting your licence back. I got mine one back as well last week which is good as the 3 year time constraint is a worry when reapplying to - but thankfully I am still able to drive again as I haven’t had further major relaspes more a gradual decline presently.
What car are you getting? You must be very excited :-))))) I’m in the Motability scheme too and have a WAV car and its wonderful.
I am going to get an automatic Kia Soul with the drivers chair modified so it swings out to make it easier to get into,. It small enough to handle easily around town but big enough to take my mobility scooter when I get one.
I do have a small fiesta that my mum bought me at the moment but I am starting to find a manual car quite hard to drive and its costing me a fortune to insure and run, taking this mobility car will save me around £1600 over the 3 year period that the kia will be leased for and then I can get another brand new car or lease a different car.
Hey Poll that’s good I don’t have a partner to take me places I have to take myself everwhere, unless my aunt is free and can take me my mum did buy me a car when my last one failed its MOT I’m guessing so that she didn’t have to ferry me around as she is so lazy and always makes out like she is a lot worse than anybody else and want’s people to do everything for her as she can’t be bothered.
