Gall Bladder Problems

Hi Everyone, first time so be gentle!

i’m male 55 and have had PPMS for over 25 years. Am confined to a wheel chair and need hoisting. Over last 3 months i have had 2 bad gall stone attacks. Following test have discovered my gall bladder has shrunken and has several more stones in it.Surgeons recommend it is removed and point out that key hole could be problematic so major surgery may be needed.

Has anyone else had this and if so what affect did it have on your MS ?( i know it could be different for each person but just looking for advice/ help.

Tried MS nurse . . . .no help and cant get hold of neurologist .

I’m PPMS (only 3 years though) 58, female. I had awful gall stone attacks, in A&E 3 times. It was removed by key hole surgery, (so not the same as you will have) in Jan 2015. Unfortunately MS did have an effect on recovery time. It totally messed up my bladder function for about 2 weeks, had to come home with catheter. After another week it was back to ‘normal’. Also very tired afterwards. But relief of not suffering those gallstone attacks, was well worth it!

Wish you well.
