Funny programme about disability & wheelchairs

Eveving all (or morning, or afternoon, depending on when you read this of course)

On Radio 4 there’s a series with comedian Richard Herring where he looks at taboo subjects (previous shows have looked at things like gollywogs and the Hitler moustache). Anyway, tonight’s was about the wheelchair, and disability in general. It made me giggle, so if you fancied a lighthearted chuckle you can have a listen here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0174gl1/Richard_Herrings_Objective_Series_2_The_Wheelchair/

Cheerio

Dan

I listened to this and thought it was really good. It exposed how ridiculous some of the common ways of thinking and talking about disability are. Plus it was really funny - let’s hope it got people thinking about how society approaches this whole topic, and how that approach can be changed for the better.
