frustrated....again

New diagnosis and before diagnosis

Yesterday I went to pick my little one up from school and got stuck!my legs stopped working!they just wouldn’t move!frozen!it was like trying to walk in glue.it was like the bottoms weren’t there.clearly the signals from my brain weren’t getting through.two people held me up but I ended up pulling one of them over when I fainted!wheelchaired into the doctors next door.laughing now he never checked my pulse,blood pressure temp!did the neuro test and wrote to the neuro!no point in going into local hospital as no specialists in neuro.passed from pillar to post for a year!at the onset of this I fell over all the time.had periods where I could only walk holding onto people,furniture.sticks.my legs have been so weak that I found it very difficult to move them.but never have they just not moved.I had to be carried into bed and have been here ever since!this has been the scariest ever.I am hoping I was affected by the heat and I can walk today as it looks cooler.but 20 degrees is hardly tropical I lay in 35 two years ago!!grrrr rant over!tx

The heat won’t be helping, but it sounds like it has to be more than that surely? Have you let Social Services know that you need help? If you can’t walk, then they should be able to arrange for carers to come in.

I hope the GP’s letter gets some action. You need to see someone asap!

I also hope it gets better very soon.

i have carers four times a day.i stayed in bed all day yesterday apart from the drag to the toilet.my right side is always weaker so that dragged and i had to really concentrate to get them to move at all!i am waiting for a full mri on the 21st to see if any new lesions then he will diagnose me!the hospital wrote 2 weeks ago after being in with a suspected tia which i knew wasn’t,but they had to check.its very bizzare when you feel you just want another lesion to have developed so you can get on meds!!

It’s miserable when everything stops working :frowning: And quite ridiculous to be at the mercy of MRI!

I hope things get sorted very soon.
