Hi everyone,
I went to the chiropractor yesterday having not been in a couple of months (I usually go monthly) and I have a lot of tension, more than usual, that he released through adjustments. A couple hours later, I started feeling really dizzy and then nauseous. Then the tingling started again and felt like I was having a flare up. I’m also extremely tired.
Has anyone else been triggered after having body work done?
Thank you so much.
Yes, a bit: The dizziness & nausea is somewhere between concussion and migraine. I told him to leave my neck alone after that and concentrate on my back & hips.
Thank you for your reply. Yes still feeling dizzy but not as severe. I hope it will settle.I think perhaps I will tell him not to do nect adjustments next time too. Thanks
I did. It flared up my spinal stenosis. Gabapentin made it feel better
When newly dx, I went to the gym with some friends to pretend to be a normal person and afterwards had a short but really terrifying widespread pseudo-exacerbation caused by heat and exertion. I really thought i had done myself a mischief, but it all calmed down quickly enough and never happened again like that, but I’ll never forget it.
Oh poor you. Yes it’s funny how things that seem good for you may be too much and can trigger things.

Thanks for the info. I might go see my GP as I’m still not feeling 100%. It seems to get worse as the day goes on. I’m fine in the morning but when I get more tired throughout the day, the dizziness starts.
It’s easy to see if the chiropractor could have set something off in your neck and you get an immediate response, i.e. that day rather than a flare up. But for the trend to repeat on subsequent days suggests it may not be linked to the one-off event. Worth talking to your MS team and/or GP if it persists.
Apart from the dizziness & nausea, did the chiropractor’s work help you?
