I’ve just had a call to say my copaxone is being delivered on Friday and my first injection will be on Monday.
It all feels very real now. Up until now I’ve handled the fact that yes, I do have MS and have adapted to having to use a walking stick now and again but now that I’m actually going to be starting treatment, it’s finally hit me! Feel a bit apprehensive about having to inject every day, but I’m sure everything will be fine (gulp…!).

It was a long time between my diagnosis and my first injection (8 years!) so starting on Copaxone felt like being diagnosed all over again - all too real and not nice 
It only took about 2-3 weeks for the injections to become part of my getting up routine and to feel completely normal though. Even better, Copaxone worked really well for me and kept me relapse free for more than three years

Hi dally dog… I started on copaxane a couple weeks ago after several years on avonex, and actually, it hasn’t been nearly as bad as I thought it would. I actually have a fear of needles, so switching from weeklyinjections to a dialy ones seemed very daunting… but strangley, i prefer it because now it is just something i have to do every morning, after my coffee, instead of a big weekly event… Even though my ms has been around for years, it is really only when I take DMDs that it feels ‘real’ and I still have my wobbly moments where I have this panicky ‘Oh my god I have ms’ episode, but with time, it does get easier and you will hopefully find you think about it less and less as time goes by. I started avonex nearly 5 weeks ago. The first jab was the hardest to do, but it does get so much better. Starting dmd’s is the next mile-stone after being diagnosed i guess.
I look at it as, atlast we are taking meds to slow ms!! Instead of just waiting for a relapse.
