Ages since been on here.
Have had MS since 2000, and now that the children are all at full time school age, oldest is 16, I really want to get back to work. Trouble is apart from no qualifications, not even English or Maths, I feel when I mention I have MS I don’t have a hope.
What should I do.
Volunteer somewhere that interests you? A college course / evening class to get a qualification? Visit Job Centre to see if they can help? Just a few ideas. Hope this helps.
I volunteer and I love it, we have a shop in our square that has opened as a community help centre, it used to be a butchers. Citizen advice come every alternate Tues too. Lots of free course’s too. I just do 2 hours a week. And its a good place to hear about local jobs on offer through word of mouth. With it only being at the end of the backstreet for me, if my vertigo kicks in I can still manage to get there with ease. Oddly it has been there 2yrs and I had no idea until I looked for something to do what the centre did for our community. Good luck xx
