Eyes hurting

Does anyone get problems with their eyes? I’ve had and still recovering from optical neuritis and I suffer with palinopsia. BUT my eyes always feel tired and sometimes they sting a lot and they feel strained , does anyone else get these symptoms ? Isit the demyelination causing this?

Hi I have dry eyes and have similar symptoms to yours. I use eye drops to keep my eyes moist and comfortable. I believe quite a few patients with MS have dry eyes.

Sounds like Dry eyes.

Looking at screens can reduce blink rate as you can be quite focused on it. Screen Glare, perceived or not, can also dry the eyes.
Aircon and central heating drys the air out which in turn can also dry eyes out.

I’ve used hypromellose eye drops for years to help with my dry eyes.

I’ve had eye issues too, and the symptoms you describe are quite common, especially in conditions like optic neuritis. According to this site, there are specialized lawyers who can offer legal support for individuals dealing with health problems related to such conditions. It might be a good idea to consult a specialist if the symptoms persist.

I have dry eyes, have the same symptoms and use eye drop to ease this, I think it’s pretty common and not just down to MS,

Have you tried using hycosan eye drops for dry eyes? My optician recommended, as after my first relapse it affected my blink reflex and corneal reflex. When my eye are dry it can induce a headache, tiredness and photophobia. I’ve found the red ones as the most affective. I hope this helps you.
